GALLATIN, TN - June 20, 2016 - IDG's CIO recently announced Servpro Industries, Inc., as a recipient of the 2016 CIO 100. The 29th annual award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT).
"Delivering innovation and business value are top priorities for CIOs everywhere, and our CIO 100 awards program celebrates the leading IT organizations that excel at both," said Maryfran Johnson, Editor in Chief of CIO Events. "Our 2016 winners are raising the bar even higher this year with their outstanding work in digital transformation, customer focus and IT-business collaboration."
"It is a great honor for SERVPRO to receive this nationally recognized award. There are a lot of great companies on this list and we are proud to be one of them", said Jeff Fields, Chief Information Officer, Servpro Industries, Inc.
As noted in Servpro Industries, Inc.'s CIO award submission, significant investments are being made in software development, as well as in infrastructure. Over the past three and a half years, SERVPRO modernized their business application portfolio by creating new web and mobile platforms to develop what has become known as WorkCenter, migrated from a physical to a private cloud environment, created a hot-hot disaster recovery site with near real-time replication, and implemented an identity management solution for all users. The end result is an integrated system that serves as the core of the Franchise operating methodology. Ultimately, affording users across the organization the ability to make better informed decisions for their business, while streamlining the workflow and providing substantial cost saving for our Franchise System.
Executives from the winning companies will be recognized at The CIO 100 Symposium & Awards Ceremony, to be held Tuesday evening, August 16th, at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
Recipients of this year's CIO 100 Award were selected through a three-step process. First, companies filled out an online application form detailing their innovative IT and business initiatives. Next, a team of external judges (many of them former CIOs) reviewed the applications in depth, looking for leading-edge IT practices and measurable results. Finally, CIO editors reviewed the judges' evaluations and selected the final 100.
